Historically, Patricia Maze, has a passion for graphic arts and also classical dance. She practiced dancing from an early age and will be forever marked by this universe.
Her professional career is faithful to her love for creation: first, she followed courses in advertising, then she spent eight years in a big newspaper group working on the development, shooting, editing and layout of the pages of a large Norman women's weekly.
It is for this reason that in her art, the Sculpture, dance, movement, equilibrium, textiles and drapes are the main actors…
Her belief :
"... in some way, I wanted to pay a tribute to the Dance (this discipline so beautiful but also so demanding), and to Dancers (whose passion transcends the effort and personal sacrifice). I love fixing an instant, an improbable position for a beginner but at the same time so perfect for the dancer, an emotion, a so ephemeral moment in the space, which answers to a work requirement of abnegation and aestheticism.
Dance is a language, it tells a story. I hope that each of my sculptures entertain you with its story: what I imagine…or what you imagine..."
